So I had a dream....I have pretty crazy dreams during my pregnancies, but I haven't had any for a long time until the other night. I dreamed I had the baby and it was a boy. The part that was a little crazy though was that the hospital was located inside Fred Meyer. The baby was a lot bigger than a newborn and was sitting up already (our kids are always a little more advanced). I forgot the clothes to take him home in so I simply got out of bed and went to pick some out. The thought of it actually isn't bad imagine getting everything you need (one stop shopping) before you take the baby home, you'd be set. Wynden couldn't decide for sure on the name. He didn't know if he still liked the name Diesel or if just the fact that nobody else liked it was the real reason he liked it after all. I asked him this morning if that was true and he said of course not :)

All better here

Well needless to say after a long week of a very grumpy and whiny Lexi she is now feeling back to normal. She did stay home from school the entire week, so she is rearing to go back tomorrow. Nobody else got sick here, which is unheard of, so I am thinking no more flu shots for Lexi. I can't wait to see what this week brings :)

flu shot or mall playground?

This morning around 4:30 am I was trying to figure out why Lexi is sick, as all three girls lay in bed with me (Wynden was in Seattle over night for a meeting). They started wandering in around 3:00, I was awake anyway kind of waiting for them, knowing that they would probably be joining me I'm not sure why I had this revelation. I am sure you all feel very sorry for me as this night ranked in my top five worst night sleep ever, but back to Lexi she has been sick since Tuesday. On Monday, she had a well check visit and I decided that she should get a flu shot because the baby's arrival is coming soon. Then after that we went to the mall and got there a little early, so to kill time before going to build a bear to stuff a bear she got for Christmas the kids played at the playground. That afternoon I got her a dentist appointment last minute for a tooth that had been giving her problems. They happy gassed her and numbed her up really well and then pulled the tooth out it was so bad. The next morning Lexi was so emotional and said her stomach hurt. Since then, we've had a very emotional, irritable, very sick Lexi. Wynden has never been a fan of flu shots he claims that the one time he got one it made him sick. I've heard this from other people as well, I personally have never gotten sick from one. In years past I do feel like after the mall playground one kid was always sick after we were there. And then there is the dentist, they did numb her twice and it was a lot of happy gas....It just seems crazy after her big day of doctor, dentist, and playground that she got so sick, I don't know I guess maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I could just say "oh that's why"

Pass the quesadillas please

All my pregnancies have been pretty much the same except one thing, my cravings seem to differ a little with each child. With Lexi I couldn't get enough of vegetable soup and then of course fagioli soup from the Olive Garden. I worked at Izzy's and so the cinnamon rolls were a favorite too. I started liking root beer for the first time in my life and couldn't get enough of it. Hunter kept the Olive Garden soup going for me and anything else from restaurants especially Mexican and Chinese. Also I always loved prawns, but really craved them with Hunter. Karlee made me fall in love with raspberries again. Growing up I worked on a raspberry machine during the summers and after you do that for 6 years you learn to hate everything about raspberries (jams, juices, anything with even the hint of flavor). Actually it was through my obsession with raspberries and strawberries that my sister figured out I was pregnant. Curt Maberry farms sells the best raspberries already perfectly sugared and awaited their entrance onto vanilla ice cream. Also with Karlee I loved fajitas too. With Hallie it was chips and salsa, fagioli soup, and Chinese. I can't really think of anything else. With this baby I eat a lot of quesadillas. I have a panini maker and it crisps them up just right. Red Robin sees me quite frequently as well, I can't get enough of their fries dipped in ranch. I must be hungry right now and you guessed it quesadillas for lunch it is!

Harry Potter?

So...I have started reading the first book in the Harry Potter series. First Twilight, now Harry Potter-who am I? I complained to my friend Laura that I needed to start on a new series since I have over read Twilight (each book twice except the first which was three times--did I just admit that) so she brought me a ton of books, which included the first two Harry Potter books. It is pretty good, this is the only Harry Potter movie that I've seen so it is a little familiar to me. I don't think that I will be their number one fan like Vashti, who actually said to me before Twilight the movie started that she hoped the new Harry Potter movie preview would be on because she has never seen a Harry Potter preview on the big screen although she had already watched the preview on the Internet and then proceeded to cheer loudly when the preview started. Love ya Vashti!

Birthday times two

Well as some of you may know, Karlee and I share a birthday December 29. I must admit it was not the most pleasant way of celebrating the beginning of my 29th, golden birthday. I was induced on the 28th and she took forever!! At around 11:30 pm hard labor started and I knew at that point she would be born on my birthday, something I was kind of trying to avoid I'm not sure why. Ask any man and they would be glad to share their birthday with one of their children, but ask most women and they would prefer to keep their one special day to themselves. We are more selfish I guess. As Midnight came upon, Wynden knowing that I had wanted to keep my birthday to myself and couldn't figure out why, looked over at me (in pain of course), smirked and said "Happy Birthday!" Half hour later Karlee graced us with her presence for the first time. Now I actually enjoy sharing a birthday with her. She turned one when I turned 30, I tried to focus more on that than my departure out of my twenties. It is so cute too when she tells people when they ask her when her birthday is that it is on mommy's birthday. She seems to think that this is really cool and so do her siblings. One would think that this would be the one child that Wynden could remember what date she was born, but I still get phone calls when booking trips or opening a bank account inquiring of her birth date. Anyway our birthday was ok. We spent the night out at a condo in Birch Bay, the weather was not that great so we stayed inside all day. The pictures are of the party with my family. Karlee was so cute when it was time to blow out the candle. She barely breathed on it. She did this a couple of times while the rest of us were like BLOW! She never did get that candle out, her cousin Sarah did it for her. It was very cute though.

Hey Baby Let's Go To Vegas

ok, ok I am not the blogger I imagined that I would be. With my obsessive compulsive personality, I did think that I would update every day, but I guess that my life is not that exciting after all. I actually don' t have much to say about myself and the kids are only funny every once in a while. Otherwise I guess I could complain about how big I feel with this baby and I am very nervous for the birth (although my doctor promised no 12 pounder). My body feels like I am 82 instead of 32 :) Other than that my life is way too simple.

We did go to Vegas though. I have no pictures to post. I took the camera, but Wynden and I are not cute like the kids so picture opportunities are rare. We left on Thursday and came back on Sunday. We had a lot of fun. I ate way too much and the five pounds that I gained probably went straight to the baby. When Wynden's secretaries found out we were in Vegas they were surprised and said that they thought we were more of a Harrison Hot Springs type of people. I guess we are boring and not quite the party types that go to Vegas. They would probably all laugh if they knew that we never even made it to the strip this trip. We layed out by the pool, which was very relaxing and I caught up on my sleep. We went to a huge outlet mall and found a KB Toys that was going out of business. The kids sure lucked out with our gifts that we brought home this time because of that sale. We spent some time with a friend of Wynden's from his mission and his family. Overall it was a nice relaxing get away.

Lexi's Birthday

On Lexi's Birthday, school was cancelled because of the snow, but we decided to go ahead with her party anyway. She had a great party with friends and family. My sister Heidi did her hair, it reminded me of the blond on That 70's Show. For dinner we went to Red Robin (which seems to be a tradition). And then to Build a Bear where Lexi picked a reindeer to stuff. Not a bad day for a 7 year old :)
