black thursday what?

What happened this year why did black Friday start on Thursday and cyber Monday start on Sunday. Yesterday was a waste as I spent the whole day trying to get a cheap coat from Macy's online sale only to have it say at checkout that the coat was no longer available (I did this multiple times just to be rejected at the end).
Not to make anyone jealous, but I am basically done Christmas shopping.

Vegas Sun!

Our hotel had this beach by the pool. The kids
could play while I laid on a chair and watched
them.


They played forever in the sand. Makes me
think Mexico here we come :)


We went to adventure dome at Circus Circus and rode
the rides all day. This was a favorite.


I cannot believe that we all rode this ride including little
Diesel. This is the boat that goes back and forth and makes
your stomach flip each time it does. Diesel loved it though.
Wynden took a while to recover.


This was a Beatles display that changed colors
and the girls thought it was so cool.

We had a great family vacation. It was a little shorter than we normally do, but better than nothing. Wynden took the cheap route this year and decided on Vegas (the past three years we have gone to California). Traveling on the plane was a breeze. Diesel slept the whole way there and back. We had a great time. I ate so much food just thinking about those buffets makes me sick. We really didn't do a whole lot besides play by the pool in the nice, warm, 80 degree weather. We did go to the strip once and watched the volcano erupt at the Mirage and the Pirates show at Treasure Island, which we waited forever to see. There was a million people and so once we were there there was no leaving, so when it started and we realized the show was not very kids friendly (10 pirate girls on a ship wearing very little fighting 10 pirate boys on their ship wearing no shirts) All of us parents were laughing about fighting the crowds to watch this, having some lady smoke right in our face for a show our children didn't even like or understand. Besides that we did have a great time.

Some Help Please...

Ok it is time for a new camera. I bought two from Costco to try and I just don't like either of them. The first is a Sony Cybershot. I loved the pictures they were bright and clear, but the camera takes forever to turn on and take a picture also the flash is in a weird spot and for some reason my finger is there and pushes it down when it tries to come up. The second camera is Nikon coolpix S8200 the pictures were ok. It is even slower to take the picture than the Sony.

I want a point and shoot that is fairly easy to use and takes really bright and clear pictures. I want it to take the pictures fast after I turn it on. Am I just dreaming or is there a camera out there that fits this description?

A healthy dinner

We had a big, late lunch, so this is what we came up with for dinner. Wynden's caramel popcorn, Wynden's cheese popcorn, eggnog and peanut butter chocolate milkshakes. For dessert we're having...

The mom runs out of gas and takes one of the two kids with her and leaves this two year old in the car. When she gets back to the car an hour later he's gone. First of all with five kids I would have gotten them all out and we would have walked to the gas station together no matter the distance or how hard it would have been, but most likely I would have called someone to come help. I guess I don't believe her. I don't believe that she left the kid in the car. I think something happened to him and this was the story she concocted. What do you think.

Stoney Ridge Farm is Kind of like the Lynden Fair...

It never changes. I haven't been to Stoney Ridge Farms for probably 7 years. A couple weekends ago our friends were here and they wanted to go so we went with them. It was exactly as I remembered. I know they added a few things, like a million boards that have a picture on them and you put your head through the hole so your head is whatever the picture's head is (I love them). We had a good time and the donuts are to die for.

Most annoying toy ever!!!

My sister gave this to Lexi on her first birthday. Well my sister just became a grandma today. My niece, Maleah gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Guess where this toy is going on Karter's first birthday :) Yes if you do the math the birth of Karter makes me a Great Aunt.

Halloween 2011

We had a good Halloween this year starting with trunk or treat at the church Friday and then trick or treating with Wynden's family on Monday night. We have so much candy! I have not ate as much as last year, after a tiny bit my stomach starts to feel it, I guess I am getting older :)
