Happy Birthday Karlee Sue!

Karlee is six today. She is getting older, but not getting too much bigger. I always think she is getting so much bigger, but then I see her around others her age and am reminded how petite she is. Her size fits with her personality. She is hilarious and has the funniest nerdy laugh you've ever heard. She is getting to be more helpful as long as she isn't tired, which can make her pretty emotional. She has a bottom lip quiver when she is going to cry that can melt your heart. She still loves to play games and is very into memory and quite good at it too. We love Kalree and are so glad she is part of our family. Happy Birthday Karlee.

Hunter's Year in Review

Hunter turned eight this year. It's hard to know what to say about Hunter. He can be so sweet one moment and then talk back like nothing you've ever heard before the next. He loves working with Wynden whether it's on the chicken coop or cleaning out the truck he just loves being with his dad. He loves hiding behind something and scaring everyone half to death especially his mother, which on several occasions I have come close to wetting myself. He reminds me so much of my oldest nephew it's scary. They both love to get a rise out of their sisters or in Hunter's case his cousin Blaine as well. At Hunter's parent teacher conference, his teacher told me that she wished all her boy students could be like Hunter. Can't wait to see what this next year will bring.

Our Oldest Child is Double Digits

Happy Birthday to Lexi Jo. It is hard to believe that she is ten years old already. We celebrated her birthday in her class the last day of school and I shared with her class a little bit of when she was born. It's funny because her birth story is the only interesting one that I have and it is because of her that it is that way. I was induced with the rest of them because she came so quick it made my doctor nervous.

Lexi is an amazing daughter. She is a dream and I couldn't love her more. She is such a help. She loves to cook and I need to let go and relax and let her help me more often. She is a good person and whenever they need someone to show the new girl at school around or the teacher needs someone to sit by the mentally handicapped classmate Lexi is always the one they choose, which I think says a lot about who she is. Here's to another great year love you Lex! Happy Birthday.

I feel like I've been to a Mary Kay party...

You know the one where they do your make-up for you , but on only half your face. Well I got a black eye last week playing basketball and it looks like I have eye shadow on one eye only. I don't really wear this color anymore, yes there was a time in jr. high when I did wear colors like purple, blue, and green. Now I stay pretty neutral. It's interesting because no one ever told me I looked like an idiot with my eye makeup matching each outfit I wore no matter the color.

Karlee had a black eye the week before me from running into the stool. I thought in my head how she doesn't appreciate her black eye because at that age I thought it would be so cool to have one being the tomboy I use to be. I thought it made you look tough. Now that I'm older it doesn't seem so tough it just looks ridiculous. Oh well I am almost out of the purple stage and moving into the attractive yellow -my bruise is fading stage.

Windermere Party

Last Saturday was the first of many Christmas things that we will be doing
this month. It definitely is the most stressful for Wynden. He plans and helps with everything for the party. The stuffed mushrooms were to die for. It is fun to get dressed up and dance together once a year. It was funny because one agent told me that she liked how I had my hair curly that night :)

You know that there's an older brother in the house when...

The other day Hallie and Karlee were fighting over the Wii while I made dinner, so I was just mostly ignoring them and saying every once in a while "girls get along or no one will get to play." Suddenly Karlee walks into the kitchen with her hands on her hips and says, "MOOOM, Hallie just punched me in the nuts!" Needless to say I could not hold in my laughter. I even put my head down on the counter I was laughing so hard. Karlee was looking at me so funny too, like why are you laughing. I then told Hallie no punching and explained to Karlee that only Hunter gets to say that because he is a boy and she is a girl and girls don't have nuts.

Can you spare a square?

Dear toilets the misery is almost over...Costco had a coupon for toilet paper and as I compared it to the Kirkland brand it was cheaper. I bought two cases. What beautiful toilet paper so thick and soft. It had no annoying wrapper around it. I was in love. Until I had to use the plunger for the second time in one week. The toilet paper is so thick. How can you teach your kids to cut their square usage in half. It is impossible. Hunter goes to blow his nose and I am like Hunter you don't need so much toilet paper. Well it is almost gone and I will be going back to the Costco brand that makes you unwrap each roll.

Anyone know where I got the title from :)
