Part Two

When we first got to Vegas we stayed at Tahiti Village, which is off the strip, so that was nice. They had a great pool with sand to make you feel like you were at the beach, which the kids loved! We visited the strip took some pictures, but mostly for the first part of the trip hung out with a friend of Wynden's from his mission. Our kids love their kids. They have four children ages 8, 5, 3, 1. You can imagine the looks we got when we ate at two different buffets with them (9 kids under the age of 8). We had a great time just catching up and relaxing. On Sunday we left for Williams, Arizona. We met Wynden's mom and stepdad there. On Monday we rode the train to the Grand Canyon. It was amazing. The kids did great. The train ride was a lot of fun. They had a pretend US Marshal on the ride for entertainment and to catch the train robbers that hopped aboard on the ride back. He gave Hunter a hard time cracking us all up especially Hunter. The train robbers wanted something from us, we offered Hunter, they declined. We headed back to Vegas the next day. Our next "home" was a World Mark resort (which we have stayed at before and we love). We really enjoy taking advantage of my sister's ownership in trendwest. At this hotel, we have two bedrooms and a lot more room. The pools are amazing. They really are heated like they say. The weather was so warm, we just spent Tuesday soaking up the sun. That night we went back to the strip to eat at PF Changs :) It was a bit of a wait, so by the time we got our food it was after 8:00. It's amazing how well kids will eat when you starve them to death. It was so good!!! On the way back to the car I saw a glass elevator that went up pretty high to go to the Outback restaurant I thought it would be cool to go on, so we did. Hallie's face is hilarious in the picture. On Wednesday, our last full day there we saw the lions at the MGM, went swimming, and watched the volcano at the Mirage. It was a great week!!
