Did I forget to mention that we actually did get two cows a few weeks ago. After Wynden and Hunter were at the cow auction for an entire Saturday, they came home with a mom and a baby. This seriously made Hunter the happiest kid in the entire world. He will talk your ear off about how he wants to be a farmer when he gets older and he actually knows how many of each animal he will have on his farm :) The kids named the cows. The mom is named Sadie (that was our girl name, but we got a Diesel) and the calf's name is Riley. Funny story is we thought the calf was a boy at first so Hunter named him Dennis to fit in with him and Diesel, but one day Wynden realized that the part they thought was a boy part was not and that is how we got Riley. If you ask the kids why we got cows they will simply tell you to eat them. Actually we got them partially to help keep the grass in our fields down, but they are not doing that great of a job. Wynden has such bad allergies that he has a hard time mowing the fields. Looks like we need to get more cows.

That's so great for Hunter! He's always talking animals :) Now remember to give them-what was it?-50 gallons of water a day?! hahah!
that is so funny I love Hunter. can we borrow them to eat the grass beside the condo, it is so grown over I don't think a lawn mower will do the trick:)
Get some goats! Just don't hang any laundry out to dry out there or they'll eat that too!
My girls still talk about the cows we had out back in the pasture. They were fun while it lasted.
Oh Alana, we are a ranch here as Wynden calls it, we have two very neglected pygmy goats already :)

I love your blog entries. How cute that Hunter wants to be a farmer. He's in the right town! I sympathize with Wynden. Hay fever is the pits and good luck finding anything that helps medicine wise!
