I can't not post about the fair! It was another great week. A good balance between working there and playing there. On Friday we went on the rides and we definitely got our moneys worth. We didn't get home until 11:00 that night. I questioned my parenting skills as I rode on the ferris wheel and saw how poorly it was put together. Saw some interesting people, ate some yummy onion rings, and ran into a million people I haven't seen for a long time. Good times.

Mutton Bustin
Hunter and Lexi have experienced something new at this year's fair. I'm not sure if they love it or hate it. They get up crying and then beg to do it again. Hunter is first then Lexi.

The Answer to a Gloomy Day.
SHOES, SHOES, SHOES!!!!
I have been looking for sandals or any cute shoes for that matter for about a year now. The mall's shoe options are few and far between. I decided to go online and look everywhere and anywhere and lo and behold I was led to boscovs.com I love it. Cutest sandals and wedges ever and for great prices. Happy shopping.

The tractor show
The much awaited tractor show was last week. We live so close to Berthusen Park that every time we drive by the kids mention the tractor show and then want to know how much longer. The only reason they love it so much is for the candy scramble in the hay and my mom's espresso has a cherry granita to die for. We cleaned up this year with the scramble. They throw in tokens for prizes and we walked away with four toy tractors, 2 bags of kettle corn, donuts, magnets, stuffed animal, bubble wand, rubber duckie, hackie sack, and a t-shirt. Next is the fair and we love the fair. It is hard to believe that school is just around the corner.

I Remember When A Candy Bar Was 5 Cents
I remember my dad saying that often as I was growing up. He'd also talk about how something was two bits, whatever that means right. After I was old enough to figure out that two bits wasn't some sort of foreign money, but actually what old timers call a quarter. Anyway why do I bring this up you may wonder. Last night we went to Edaleen Dairy, which we do quite frequently, they even know us there by how many baby cones we order and the fact we come in minutes until closing. I glance at the menu for some reason while we stood in line and realized that they raised their prices. Their baby cones used to be 40 cents and were now 75!!! Oh I thought this cannot be good. Wynden will definitely not go for this. Our 3-4 times a week I could feel would be drastically cut for sure in half as I knew he would almost be offended at the new almost doubled price. It got me thinking that I would now be saying I remember when baby cones use to be 25 cents then 40 cents and now a whopping 75, what is this world coming to. Just as I expected as I told Wynden about the price increase his response "don't they know that we're in a recession. Gey hon, I don't know if we'll be able to come as often"

Hallie, Hallie, Hallie
Part of Hallie's prayer the other night "Please get all the monkeys out of our beds." I guess from the song/book no more monkeys jumping on the bed. Poor kid has been traumatized worrying about the monkeys while she sleeps.
Hallie and Karlee both had dentist appointments the other day. I learned two things that day 1. Never never have those two on the same day ever again 2. Have Wynden take them next time :) Anyway on the drive in I was trying to talk the dentist up to Hallie hoping she would go back by herself because I had all the kids with. So I was saying things like "I like the dentist he is so nice." over and over and she finally said to me "Is he your boyfriend?"
I put Hallie down for a nap after her dentist appointment and she was pretty grumpy still. I heard her crying and she climbed out and opened the door. I thought maybe she was hurt by how she was crying and so I was like "Are you hurt, what's hurt?" And she says "My feelings. I was crying and you never came."
Before Hallie turned three I kept telling her you're going to be three now, so that means you're a big girl trying to let her know the things that she needs to start working on (like walking instead of having me carry her. Both her and Diesel at the same time can make my arms feel like they are going to fall off). The other day she was being a stinker and I said "Hallie how old are you now?" and she said "big." Possibly her counting system goes something like 1 - 2 - big - 4 - ...
The picture is from the day of the dentist. Her mouth area was so swollen she looked so funny.
